INTERNET CHECK PAYMENT PROCEDURES
New security procedures instituted by the Federal Trade Commission require us to adhere to more strict security protocols. This is greater protection for the Buyer and the Vendor.
We have subscribed to GVALIDATE for the processing of our check software. The Internet check option is still available to customers of the Internet Catalogue Club. The following steps MUST be accomplished before proceeding to present
your check and purchase information to us.
Each member wishing to present a payment via Internet check must go to http://www.gvalidate.com and register for a free account. Once registered, the Member must then validate the checking account for which the information is to be presented. Once you have presented your check account to GVALIDATE, they will send a check electronically to your account for $0.01. The check number they use is the code number which you must then enter into their forms to validate that you have access
to the account and that the account is current and active.
Once your account is validated in their database, then and only then can you enter the Internet check information into our form and we can then process the form as in the past. Our software which complies with the FTC directive will not even print your check draft until the database is automatically checked.
If you are presenting funds by this means for other ICC Members, please enter their ICC number or Invoice Number received from the Treasure Chest into the memo section of the check. After initially validating your account information, you may use the Internet check option without revalidating.
This procedure is for the benefit or all involved as it inhibits check fraud and the resultant fees and difficulties incurred thereby.
